Sorry, I cant easily find the accent marks for the letter "u".
These were three different series of emergency mobilizations the ersatzheer (if I understand correctly). In particular, I am looking at fall, 1944 on the western front. My question is, what was the effective difference between the three ? Just different code words for different times or different types of units ? I am looking at ersatzheer WK VI records, and I find references to Walkure and Gneisenau for various units - listed on the same page at the same point in time.
thanks,

As far as I know, "Gneisenau" was the successor to "Walküre" after that operation had been "misused" by the 20th July conspirators. "Walküre" and "Gneisenau" concerned the mobilization of Ersatzheer units, while "Blücher" (the companion to "Gneisenau") pertained to Feldheer units currently regrouping or being organized in Germany. There was also "Scharnhorst", concerning Waffen-SS units.
