Volksgrenadier Division artillery

Post by MadDog »

In a Volksgrenadier division, the I Bn arty is supposed to be 75mm guns, while the II, and III are 105mm guns, and the IV Bn is 150mm guns.

What model of guns were authorized for each Bn ? 75mm Pak 40 for I Bn ? FK 18 105 and FK 18 150 for II-III and IV ?

thanks,

To this day, it still amazes me how much the army relied on horses.

Why? What should the Heer haven been doing since there were never ever enough Kfz. to motorize at peaks more thanca. 20% of the front troops?
