Hello to all
Panzer Regiment 6, from creation to the Polish campaign.
In addition, 9 officers and 335 non-commissioned officers and soldiers had to be transferred to Zinten in Wehrkreis I to organize the I./ PR 10. The Commander of the II. Abteilung, Major Linnarz, transferred to Panzer Corps Staff as IIa. Major Rothenburg took his place. Major Ilgen of the Regimental Staff was transferred to the Staff of the 2. Panzer Division. He was replaced by Major von Lewinski, the former adjutant of the 4th Cavalry Regiment. Major Munzel was transferred to the Army Personnel Office. In April 1937, at the Wilhelmsplatz in Berlin, the Banners were handed over to the two detachment commanders.
At the end of May 1937, the 3 Signal platoons of the regiment, together with parts of Signal Detachment 39 (Nachrichten Abteilung), practiced in the Rathenow area, training in radio liaison within the grouping. On July 9, 1937, the crews and their tanks were transported to Putlos. This was the first time that they executed firing exercises against combat targets aiming towards the sea.
The regiment then executed exercises with the division and the 4. Infantry Division in various operations at the Jüterbog military training area. There were also visits to the detachments. In August 1937, all vehicles for the first major exercises were overhauled at the Bergen military training area. On a night march, the regiment traveled 100 kilometers from Bergen to the starting position for maneuvers in pouring rain.
