PK photographer training?

I'm looking for specific info on PK photographer training.
I know there were things that were not allowed to be photographed, like dead German soldiers, but what else did the photographers learn? Did they fe compose images? Were compositions staged? Did they tell soldier X to stand here and soldier Y to stand over there? Did they tell soldier X: "pick up that PPSh-41, because it looks good"?
I can't seem to find any info on the actual training of these photographers.
