Reloading torpedoes at sea!

Maneuvering a torpedo at sea in a U Boat Type IX (it seems). External torpedoes had to be reloaded on the surface, which was a risky exercise since diving was impossible until the transfer was complete ...........................................................

A little bit more with a pic showing a torpedo being loaded on an S-Boot.
This image is extracted from the book "Schnellboote im Einsatz 1939-1945" written by Volkmar Kühn.
