I see it carries its own firewood behind the turret to stop ten feet further up the beach and light a fire under the hull to help dry things out! :D

Hi all,

Just read a bit about the Tauchpanzer on Panzer-Archiv.de and that brought me back to this thread.

So far the first operation of the Tauchpanzer has been named as the crossing of the Bug river. Both in this thread and in every book I have read that mentions this operation.

On Panzer-Archiv there is quote (in this thread: http://forum.panzer-archiv.de/viewtopic ... 92&start=0) that says the crossing actually took place on the Lessna river a Nebenfluss (tributary?) of the Bug.
No source is given for that quote but I wonder if anyone here knows where that came from and if it is true?

Always working to perfecting Feldgrau

Cheers,

Paul
