wehrmacht use of dogs
Does anyone have photos about dogs used by the Wehrmacht?
I have a handful of photos but I can't tell
you much about them other than they were taken in the
Fall of 1939 on the Seigfried Line.

Modfotos - thank you, those are great. Do you know where on the Siegfried line they were taken?
Christoph - Found those already
I got some nice ones on eBay as well, but I'm still interested in others. I want to see what the dominant color of the Shepherds were (<-- the breed changed over the years. In the early 20th Century most were sables. Now the "classic" Shepherd is black & tan.) and what types of collars and leashes they used.
(I plan to take my GSD re-enacting...)

No, of course. There's no dog. Here is just one photo with concretelike. The other photo with just the occasional stray dogs. The Bolsheviks actively and savagely dogs were used to rush the German tanks.
Re: wehrmacht use of dogs
Is that an attempt at humor? If so it falls pretty flat.
How do you come to that conclusion?
Rather incoherent but looks to possibly be a reference to the "dog mines". Not sure how it is relevant to the topic under discussion in any case.

Interesting pictures, tigre! Thanks for sharing.
That's right, online gambling is my faith. I need trusted betting sites here with no registration there. My friend will check that place also pretty soon. I guess he supposed to.

The soldier and the dogs in the new army! Senta was drafted.
Senta is very friendly with the pigeons. The dog in the army learns to carry the pigeons to the front line. There the birds are provided with valuable messages and sent to the rear ..............................

Re: wehrmacht use of dogs
My grand father was in Das Reich SS division 4./Deutschland . He survived the war moved to Vancouver Canada. His family brought their German Shepherd bitch with them . They brought it over in the hold of the ship they came over in and had to be quarantined for 6 mths but my grandmother insisted. It was a daughter of a female GSD used in the war. The war dog had taught its pup how to dodge bullets and hunt for food for soldiers.
