Yes Bill. It would have been din general, and in german that would have been dein General.

But the text reads Der General im Biwack. I think it is from a photo album of one of his subordinantes private collection.

I think so, i bought it trough ebay and the man was riping out photoalbums to sell the photo's to make a bigger profit. And i hate that, neverless i saw this photo and i had the winning bid €3,01

nice price. Who it is and where i dont know

If you look at the "r" in "General", you can see it's tiny, like the "r" in "Der". Just my two cents,
