Well here's the challenge Folks.
Out of the Thousands of pictures of SS Members i think i have only ever seen 1 Scharfuhrer(1 Stripe and 1 Pip).
Plenty of Unter and Ober and the occasional Haupt and Sturmscharfuhrers'but the plain old Scharfuhrer is virtually non existant.
It's as if(and i suspect did) the NCO's were promoted instantly to Ober from Unter and missed out the middle rank.
So if anyone has Scharfuhrer pic i'd be grateful to see it.
Thanx

I will show you were the Iron Crosses Grow!
I am still researching the promotion sequence. It seems that for the Heer after one year as an Unteroffizer you were either promoted to Unterfeldwebel or directly to Oberfeldwebel. Seems, and this is where more research is needed, that the Unterfeldwebel rank was to allow more seasoning as a NCO before further if anymore promotions.
Can't say for sure if same for SS, but may be so.

the 'Chief Executioner' of the Third Reich
SS-Scharführer Adolf Eichmann in 1933
Adolf Eichmann was a high-ranking official in Nazi Germany and served as an Obersturmbahnführer in the S.S. He was largely responsible for the logistics of the extermination of millions of people during the Holocaust, in particular Jews, which was called the "final solution" (Endlösung).
He organized the identification and transportation of people to the various concentration camps. Therefore, he is often referred to as the 'Chief Executioner' of the Third Reich.
On the left SS-Scharführer Martin Petri.
I understand this one is on the cover of a Action Figure doll
