CRAZY request

Post by haen2 »

This may sound far fetched, but i know that they are still around.
So . . . .Who has, or knows somebody that has, an MP40 for sale.
I am able to get an ATF stamp, or it could be transferred.
An ATF approved blank shooting unit would be O.K. too.

Doing fine with the neighbors 8) But had the opportunity to fire one that belongs to a reenactor friend.
The only "weapon ' I still have is a Ruger 10/22 semi-auto which is fun for target shooting, and yes, I CAN still hit the side of my garage  . But after firing the MP, meories surfaced and i now have the bug. You can buy an almost complete MP 40, but it is not capable of firing live, or blank ammo. However, there is a webside of gun-enthousiasts who will guide you step by step to convert it. The biggest problem is the price, depending on when and where it was made. ( An AK47 iis cheaper )
Not important though, just a 'crazy"request.

Follow up
While on the "crazy" path, i might as well inquire about a 22 calibre converted MP40. I know Sweden exported these some years ago, as they did with the Luger knock off "Erma" 22.
Reason for 22 ? much cheaper to play with.
When the Turks come invading, i won't be able to hold them off all by myself anyway :x    HN

The request may be put to rest.
I got an offer. Now I have to convince my boss (spouse for 57 years) that it is a good investment. :[]
