Growing Up in Hitler's Germany

Post by dsetzer » Sat Sep 01, 2012 6:22 am

Werner Mork has written extensively about his experiences as a soldier during the war, and many sections of his memoirs have been excerpted on the Deutsches Historisches Museum website here: http://www.dhm.de/cgi-bin/lemosuche (In German)

However, he has also written about what it was like to grow up in pre-war Germany and he describes the social forces that shaped the Nazi Era.

Translations of his memoirs about growing up can be found here: http://home.comcast.net/~dhsetzer/Mork/youth/

The same page also has a link to his wartime memoirs in translation.
