1939 Ship Lifejacket Authentic?

General WWII era German military discussion that doesn't fit someplace more specific.

1939 Ship Lifejacket Authentic?

Post by Cunard-WhiteStarLine »

I have a few pictures of a 'lifejacket' from the Robert Ley of 1939. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about it from the writing and if it looks to be authentic. I know the Normandie was built a few years earlier in France and her lifejackets were grey. Would ones this early be the bright orange? Aging looks right, not sure about the design either. Any help is appreciated.
