I seems like drugs on German soldiers in ww2 have been used pretty common?
For example in the battle of Monte cassino the German soldiers often drinked alcohol. I am not sure of this. But i think i have seen a interwiw with a german paratrooper when he confirmed that.

Joms, the vast majority of soldiers on either side drank alcohol by choice LOL but in a lot of cases and locations it would be easier to obtain and safer to drink than the local water!
