I have seen alot of pics about the German infantry. Does anyone know if they actively used comabt medics/corpsman like the US military did in WWII? If there was such a thing does anyone have any pics or uniform insignia?

Hello
John already pointed you to my site. Some informations in advance.
There were several types of medical personnel in frontline companies.
Hilfskrankenträger were normal soldiers in a company with a short first aid training. If the situation made it necessary they dropped their weapon, got a red cross or a "Hilfskrankenträger" arm insignia and recovered patients from the field providing very basic first aid. Usually there were 6 to 8 of such soldiers in a infantry company.
Krankenträger were soldiers trained in advanced first aid and were permanently attached to a company. Wearing a red cross armband and armed with a pistol.
The Sanitätsunteroffizier was the backbone of the german medical service. Each company had one. They were trained in medical schools for 6 months and organised the medical service in a company and at battalion level. They wore the red cross armband,, the medical specialist badge on the lower arm and a pistol.

Hello sgriffin383!
Several Sanitätsoffiziere were highly decorated when they performed their duties at the frontlines. See link...
