David,

I might have something in my notes from Playfair or some other sources, these are handwritten notes and no index, what is the earliest confirmed date/location you show them equipped with 6lb guns?

Thanks

I have them arriving in N.A in Dec 1941, armed with 2pdrs. Then @ 23/10/42; on 6pdrs.
Thanks. Dave.

David,

"A" Battery of the 95th AT Regiment was in Burma in March/April 1942, see below:

http://homepages.force9.net/rothwell/bu ... rApr42.htm

"B" Battery was in the desert in the Gazala battles, look at this link:

http://www.worcestershireregiment.com/w ... c/h_tobruk

This mentions "A" Troop, "B" Battery of the 95th A/T Regiment with the 1st Battalion Worcestershire during the Gazala battles in June, no mention that "B" Battery had 6lb AT guns, only 2lb AT guns were mentioned.

Hope this helps

A/95 went to Burma as part of 7 Armd Bde. The arrived in Rangoon in early March 42. They were equipped with 12 2pr. Also in 7 Armd bde were 414 Bty (from 104 Regt RHA), 7 H and 2 RTR. They were join by 2 UK inf bns from India who almost certainly had no atk pls.
