Joslen notes 17th Coastal Regiment (R.A) as being under
8 th Army command on 14.6.42 and 20.12.42.
GHQ MEF command on 29.5.43 and 10.7.43.

http://www.ra39-45.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk ... age15.html notes 17th Coastal Regiment (R.A) as being formed in 9.41 from the Tobruk Garrison coast defences. Joslen however notes "Tobruk" under Coast RA Regt under 8th Army command for 1.12.41

18th Coastal Regiments (R.A) as being under
8 th Army command on 29.5.43 (but not earlier, see http://www.ra39-45.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk ... age16.html.)
GHQ MEF command on 10.7.43 and 1.1.44.

No details of equipment or position is given.

I would be most interested in the period 6th/42 - 12th/42 for the 17th.
Thanks. Dave.
