A number of books I have read, by frontline soldiers fighting in Russia, have described propaganda leaflets that were dropped by the tonne.
They were crude, but contained:
Name and rank of those taken prisoner, with statements of how well they were being treated (yea, right!!!) and signatures. These could include pictures of their personal effects and identification tags.
Name and rank of those German soldiers holding the line and claims that they specifically would be dead within weeks if they did not surrender.
As well they would sometimes describe the units history since arriving on the eastern front and restate the casualty numbers; attempting to point out the magnitude of Hitler's folly in the East.
My question is: Do any of these still exist and if so are there any photo's of them on the net?
