Rare German Unit shoulder board.

Post by Hessian »

I have what has been decribed to me as a rather rare German WWII shoulder board. Would anyone be able to tell me the correct unit designation and value as I intend to sell it, I would like to be able to price it correctly

Thank you.

However, I believe that the Totenkopf was embroidered on other ranks' shoulder straps up to the rank of unteroffizier. This does not rule out anomalies like this but the deathshead should be checked for authenticity and for indications that it has been on that strap for sixty-five years. The matt NCO tresse looks OK, as does the overall construction of the strap but combinations like this always encourage caution.

PK, Thank you for the reply and it has been verified as an original board as well as the skull device.
