painting Fallschirmjäger and Kossacks

I am painting Fallschirmjäger for Tabletop, mostly 1. and 2. Division.
Could anybody tell me, were they wearing a division or regimental insignia, and if so ,were it would placed.
For the ranks, I assume they use Luftwaffe ranks and insignia?
The same question about Osttruppen and Kossacks: What branches and ranks insignia did they use?

Ost truppen had their own insignia as did Cossacks, though both did wear Wehrmacht insignias as well. I can e-mail you several plates
