Waffenfarbe colour for 104 Regiment, 21er Pz, DAK

Post by San Martin »

Hello again Herren

Again, my model 21 Pz in 20mm. I am representing 104 Regiment within that as one of the units. Mostly as of 1/Nov/1941. Originally the Waffenfarbe I selected was Grass Green. But that is from 1942 onwards (Grass Green for Panzer Grenadier Units). I have seen examples of Grass Green being used on the tropical caps in photographs (colour and monochromatic) many times. But I want to get it right.

So actually there are 2 questions, if you have the time/inclination:

1). The Waffenfarbe colour of 104 Regiment?

2). Is 104 classed as a PzGren. Regiment or a Schutzen Regiment?

Viel dank for any assitances rendered.

All early DAK armoured infantry wore grass green and were called Pz grens from 1942 onwards.
Some infantry units wearing white (eg MG abt) made it to Tunisia in 1943
