A jerry can holds 20 liters. Don't know the German nickname for the Wehrmachtskanister, but the Ami can gave me a chuckle.

I highly doubt that Germans would nick name their jerry cans after Americans....but you raise a devil of a good question. Imagine how proud us Americans would feel if we were actually named as part of German gas can....
