I don.t know what this has to do with Kafka, but the music (as all others by André Rieu) is certainly enjoyable.

For some years, Ohio State's PBS station WOSU here in Columbus regularly featured Andre Rieu's music during its annual fund drives .. I'd never heard of the fellow before then .. best I remember, much of the music featured during the fund drives was primarily on Rieu's 'Vienna' .. had no clue that traditional military marches were also part of his repertoire. What I found refreshing during that time was that WOSU radio ended each fund drive with a medley barrage of international military marches, one of which was always the instrumental version of 'Alte Kameraden' 8)

Adré has the "Johan Strauss orchestra", with a homebase in Limburg, Nederland;but his repertoire is very varied, from walzes - Bagpipes - Marching - and opera/operette .. He also has put on shows literally all over the world. He draws unbeliavble big crowds, who, looking at the vido clips and TV shows are having one heck of a good time.
BTW I don't have stock in his company LOL.

Pretty much grew up at home listening to what the parents (mostly my mother) tuned in to on the local German radio station broadcasts .. plenty Operetten Musik like 'Der Vogelhändler' and 'Die Fledermaus' and music by Lehar and Strauss .. the best of the best IMHO, very thankful to have grown up in this environment :D
Then there were the raucous all-night new year parties that featured the music of Bert Kaempfert, Billy Vaughn, and no shortage of plenty loud German marches via the old veterans 8)
Plenty other nice memories of those times, too .. wouldn't trade them for anything ...
