This movie played this week on Turner Classic Movies. I hadn't seen this madcap comedy about an Italian town in which American and Italian soldiers feel that romance and partying takes a priority to war. I suggested this movie to TCM earlier this year and was happy to see it played. In nominate this movie as one of the top war-theme comedies.
"What are they going to do, send me to Vietnam?"
A oft heard GI refrain in Vietnam in '68.
