Could Eva Braun cook?...

Post by L. Kafka »

If Eva could cook, what were her specialties? Unlike her hubby Adolf, did Eva drink alcohol?

Culinary show on Hitler's favorite meal condemned
BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) -- A culinary show on Adolf Hitler's favorite meal to be aired next week has come under fire from Jewish, resistance and political prisoner organizations.
In his series "Plat Prefere,'' or "Favorite Dish,'' professional cook Jeroen Meus goes to Hitler's haunts in southern Germany to prepare trout with butter sauce, "a succulent festive meal'' and said to be one of Hitler's favorite meals, the program's trailer announced.
Michael Freilich, the editor of Joods Actueel magazine, leads the criticism saying Thursday it is worrying Hitler is turned into a banal figure, thus sending "the wrong signal'' to a younger generation.
The VRT network will air the show Oct. 28 and said it will put Hitler "in the right context.''

Im sure that trout with butter sauce will now be made illegal, as we wouldnt want it to be a rallying dish for neo-nazis, and any positve critique of it will result in lengthy prison sentences, as is only just for a democracy.

Apart from the cream cake fetish, I had the impression Hitler's dietary tastes were rather... featureless?

Belgian TV scraps show on Hitler's favorite meal
BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) - Amid widespread criticism, a Belgian public broadcaster on Monday scrapped a television show on Adolf Hitler's favorite meal.

Belgium's Flemish broadcaster VRT said the episode on Hitler's culinary tastes was "too sensitive" to air and did not fit the series "Plat Prefere," or "Favorite Dish," which profiles the favorite foods of famous people.

Other episodes have featured more positively viewed subjects, including British singer Freddie Mercury, opera legend Maria Callas and artist Salvador Dali.

"There was a wrong perception that the show about Hitler would humanize or, worse, glorify" Hitler, VRT said on its Web site.

A preview of the Hitler episode showed professional cook Jeroen Meus going to Hitler's haunts in southern Germany to prepare trout with butter sauce, which is believed to have been one of Hitler's favorite meals.

The VRT network earlier said the show on Hitler, which was scheduled to air Tuesday, meant to put him "in the right context," adding that the chef also addressed Hitler's anti-Semitic policies.

Michael Freilich, the editor of Joods Actueel magazine, a Jewish affairs weekly based in Antwerp, welcomed the move Monday but said the VRT had to question why it chose Hitler in the first place.

"The problem is that Hitler is being featured in a cooking show, without any historical context," he said.

Yes it was a big issue over here, since i live in Belgium :-).I was excited a bit to see the 'eaglesnest" again, but the censorship and the pressure of the jewish community in belgium had its way.Even in these days, almost 70y later its still a very sensitive thing to go to bavaria and cook a fish :-).I see no harm in it what so ever.

Did Hitler ever take a crack at cooking?...

Post by L. Kafka »

Most vegetarians seem to have an affinity of some degree of preparing their own food. Curious if HItler appreciated wild rice dishes. He should have been a fan of the Mediterranean diet sans meat, of course.

From top secret tapes recovered by the Red Army:

Adolf: "Woman, get out of that bed and fix me some dinner!"
Eva: "Fix you some dinner, you're an evil nazi dictator but can't fix his own dinner? phaaa what a "man"! "
Adolf: "If the easter front is crumbling, that doesn't mean the home one has to go to."
Eva: "It's a bit late for that, you've got me all spoiled up mein Fuhrer!"
Adolf: "mmmmm...JA, some spanking should do the job."
Eva: "Ach Jaaaa....I want to salute the fuhrer...spank me mein Schatz"

What proceeds is a little bit naughty, so its probably best that no one see's it!

P.S. Don't tell my mom I have this, she never liked nazi porn! :D

It turned out like Operation Barbarossa: tasty at first, but in the end, too heavy.
