Unofficial Pre-War (1933-1939) facts thread

Post by Alex Coles »

Because dragunov made a thread about interesting WWII facts, I thought this might be a good idea. Let me start off :

From 1936 onwards, there were two operations on the Westwall. These were the Grenzwacht and Limesprogramm. This meant because it looked extremely formidable it was an excellent propaganda tool. Despite that, because german weapons technology advanced extremely fast during the period, some of the defence weapons became outdated.

There were incredible defences in the Sudetenland after WWI. These were useless, after the Treaty of Munich where it was handed over to Germany. Despite that, the germans trashed the whole thing after!

The Polish-German trade war, ends, after WWI with insane trade problems. After the non-embargo agreement was signed, the poles exported an incredible amount of coal.
