North Africa

Post by von_noobie »

I was doing some reading and came along some info about North africa,
I found out that Rommol could ave held the British if he had been allowed to pull back to the Akarit line,
A 12 mile stretch of land that ran from the sea to an area known as Chott el Jerid (made up of salt lakes and marshes) making it nearly impossible to outflank were on the Mareth line they cold, Not to mention that he also had a smaller bit of land to defend,
He would still have 70,000 troops from El-elamain and 36 tanks.
So he could hold back the brits there and then there was the time Arnim ruined his offensive near Thala, He withheld half of the 10th pnz div and the newly arrived Tiger tanks,
Had Rommol had the forces he needed i beleive he could easily have finished his offensive with great success,
He also had the Algerian civilians on his side as they saw the americans as the invaders, And the Germans as there saviours,

What i would like to know is what people think could have happened if Rommol had happen what he wanted done?
