As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me

Wanted to let you know that I contacted the film's distributor. They have not yet decieded to release the film on DVD for North America. I'll bet that if enough people show interest, we can make this happen. Looks like a great film and an incredible story, true or not. Anyone with me on this?

The movie from 2001: http://www.soweitdiefuessetragen.de/startseite.shtml

The 6 part production from 1959: http://www.bamby.de/1959/59soweit1.html

More about the 1959 production: http://www.fernsehserien.de/index.php?serie=2422

I prefer the 6 part TV series from 1959, this "smells like history", the 2001 sequel is a waste of time for any movie buff.

A brother of my grandfather (mother's side of the family) was captured by the Russians, after he had 'worked' for the Germans (see my post abot Camp Frankenstein). He jumped of a train in Poland and walked back too. I wanted to hear his whole story, but he wouldn't tell a thing about it :( .
