Nope, it's not a Focke-Wulf Fw 44 and Yes, it's a bi-plane...

Better luck next time,

Hello Waleed and welcome to the Game! You are absolutely right about this being a Czech-built Avia B-534. I suppose that the upside-down situation was the result of a freak landing accident...? This picture is from the Demjanks cauldron and here's what the caption said:
Avia B-534-IV used by Luftwaffe as glider tug on Eastern Front, probably during supplying German forces encircled in Demyansk area in 1941/42). Plane has winter camouflage and auxiliary fuel tank (well visible below the port bottom wing). Unit unknown (Lastenseglerstaffel ?). Behind plane is DFS 230 glider. (J. Zazvonil's collection)
And here's a "better" picture of the Avia B-534 in German service...

Now it's your turn Waleed, to post a photo riddle... :D

Hello Doktor and everyone else here. Yes I read what it said but still not sure it answers the bonus question as it does say "probably" so who knows.
Anyway here's an easy one... Who is this foreigner of the W-SS.

Hint: he was half russian, died in russia.

I put my two cents on the danish SS-Obersturmbannführer Christian Fredrik von Schalburg who was killed in action on the Eastern front while leading the Frikorps Danmark.

So true Doktor.

He grew up in russia, danish military career, killed at Demjansk
leading the Frikorps. Too easy, eh

Back to the tough ones again, your turn!

Here's another riddle... Who was this RKT? He's famous for being the first recipient of the Knight's Cross on a rather famous Front/battle during WWII... So, who was he, when did he recieve the RK and on what Front/battle?

...and for Oskar! The DVD (your link) is dubbed to english (dolby digital 2.0).

Guessing from the Kreigsmarine uniform, I would think the Battle of the Atlantic, though I am at a loss for the man himself.

Sorry Rosselsprung but that is not the correct answer. Again, the lead is that this officer was the first to recieve the RK on/in a very specific front/battle...

Next time, maybe...

My bet would be Günther Prien...

Günther Prien joined the Reichsmarine in January 1931 after sailing some years on trade ships. After a year on the light cruiser Königsberg, he transferred in October 1935 to the U-boat force. In 1938 he was on U-26 under Kptlt. Hartmann patrolling in Spanish waters during the Civil War.
With his own boat U-47 he became famous for his 14 October, 1939 sinking of the British battleship HMS Royal Oak in the heavily defended British North Fleet main harbor at Scapa Flow. Churchill himself wrote about this outstanding feat of arms of a German U-boat commander. Prien was the first U-boat commander to win the Knights Cross.
