It is possible too. During the Second World War, usually Eastern troops were supplied were captured Allied equipment or supplies rather than provided with first rate German-made equipment. One must remember, that the Western Allies did air-dropped supplies to SOE operatives in Occupied Europe which were compromised by the Germans (remember the Englandspiel?) which were put to used for supply-hungry Eastern units

French, Czech, Hungarian, Greek, Romanian rifles, British sten guns, explosives were usually distributed among German allies. It's rare enough to see Eastern troops with German made camo smocks or MP40s, let alone the impressive Stg-44.

Hungary and Romania were German allies, so their rifles were used by their troops, although a Hungarian plant did also make rifles for the Wehrmacht.
