Is this the incident where 1 Pz Div were accidentally attacked by Stukas at Bouillon on 11th May or Chemery on 14th?
I thought the BuFlas operated with 2 Pz Div, can anyone help with which units the 1./schwere Pzjager 8 were assigned to throughout the campaign?

Hello to all :D; an interesting friendly fire incident in the western campaign ............................

Nicht abwerfen! Eigene Panzer! (Do not drop! Own Tanks!) - Chemery May 14, 1940.

The squadron assembled over Sedan. And again it threw itself against Chémery. Directly under way a small town. Large fires has broken out and huge clouds of smoke rise in waves. From the city numerous tanks are going towards the German lines. They can only be French tanks. Peltz mounted the attack. Behind him rushed the entire squadron. In full dive now he has exactly in the center of the visor reflex's cross a group of tanks. A few seconds more, then he must press the button to release the bomb. At the same moment he saw in a panzer the swastika flag. Immediately radioed the order do not drop! own tanks! This command is issued and is still aknowledge during the diving. No one in the Peltz squadron has launched. Therefore it was prevented that the deadly cargo fell on the brothers in the depth..........

The expansion of the bridgehead been a success, Chemery was occupied and the enemy armored attack from the direction of Stonne was rejected. At Chemery the brigade HQ, regimental HQ and the II. Abteilung HQ (PR 2) were hit by an air attack carried out by German Stukas, Oberleutnant Graf Harrach, Oberleutnant von Furstenberg, Leutnant Fritschen and eight men were killed, several soldiers, including Oberst Keltsch were wounded..............

From the pics, the 1. / sPz Jäger 8 was attached to the 1. Pz and a question was the I./StG 76 under Walter Siegel responsible for this? Cheers. Raul M 8).
