A huge map of the Vorfeld Stalingrads (Nov. 42 - Feb. 43)

Post by Michi »

Here is my huge map covering the Vorfeld von Stalingrad.
The map can be used for front-line drawings, for locating units and battle-groups; and other things.
The map
has a size of 4391 x 3020 PX
and a volume of 8,1 MB.

Originally the map were 11 General Staff maps of the German Wehrmacht.

NEW UPLOAD:
This day I have found a picture host which allows a volume of 1,5 MB, instead of 1,2 MB.
So the new map has a litmited detail rate of 31%, instead of only 20%.

Please click on the preview. A page will open, than again press on the map to the 100% size.

BTW, Thx Michi

1:500,000 probably. At least the detail makes me think it's a 500,000 map.

Hi Michi,

Many thanks. That is the most detailed map I have seen of the area, including place names and terrain features I have seen in written accounts but not other maps.

I am putting a link to it on the Romanian Military History Forum, as it covers the fronts of 3rd and 4th Romanian Armies as well.

Cheers,

Sid.

As you might have seen, I have refit the map.
Also I have gained enough space for the full detailed map here:

It will be online just for a short limited periode of time.

Geh, Du hast die doch beim Archiv-Treffen im Juni bekommen.
Okay, nicht die ganze, aber immerhin!!!

MfG Michi

PS: I had enormous problems in fitting the last map (which is the belowest one) to the others.
Than I realized yesterday that there is a quite a difference between the place of Abganerovo and the place of Abganerovo Railwastation .

Hi Michi,

The map isn't loading up for me, is anyone else having problems? Would be rather interested to get a copy.

Cheers,
Jock
