If you're looking for anything, try Doctor at Stalingrad by Hans Diebold. He was a German POW that treated Russian wounded in there, and if I remember correctly (it's been awhile since I read it) it has some good tidbits.
In the battle between good and evil, evil usually has more fun.

I didn't hear that timochenko participated to the battle of Stalingrad.
I think that he passed the largest part of the war in the north front-in other words near Leningrad-.
Am i mistaking?

"It was Timoshenko who retrieved the Russian military position in the Russo-Finnish War of 1939-40. When the Germans invaded Russia, Timoshenko, who, as defence commissar, had reorganised the Red Army and introduced many reforms, was entrusted with the defence of Moscow. After he had repulsed the Germans, Stalin sent him to stem the enemy's advance in the Ukraine in November 1941. " ( a put down by Stalin)

The bunker was named after him although he didn't command the defense of Stalingrad.

Email from Vlad:

Hello Bruno

Thank for your letter.

" Timoschenko Bunker " is underground command post Stalingrad front.

It was in a mouth of the river Tzaritza in a central part of city, near main crossing through Volga.

Later when German parts send in center Stalingrad, command by front has cross on other bank of Volga.

And it the bunker became command post 62 Armies till October 1942.

Excuse for mine English.

Regards

Vlad
