Need german situation maps period aug 1943 - feb 1944.

Post by Curious Volksgrenadier »

Hi.
I'm searching for O.K.H. situation maps of HGR Mitte, Nord, Süd & A period 08-12.1943, 01-02.1944 related to 'battle of river Dnijepr'.
In *.jpg or *.gif format scanned from Die Geheimen Tagesberichte by Kurt Mehner or some other sources. If anybody can help me please let me know.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi CVG,

Back in the 1980s Victor Madej published a series of map books reproducing many dozens of sequential German situation maps of the Eastern Front. I believe he is publishing again.

Type "Victor Madej" into the Feldgrau Search facility above and you should come up with something.

Cheers,

Sid.

Yup. After entering "Victor Madej" in the Search facility, scroll down to 28 May 2005 and you will see Madej's name in a thread title.

Cheers,

Sid.

Hello

Try this:

http://www.gutenberg-e.org/index.html

Apply for a "trial" username and code, and then you can download maps of the offensives in Russia from 1941 to 1945.

Hello

When you have received a login as free trial member, you can acces theese maps under the section "An European Anabasis" ( second from the top ) about foreign volounteers service in the Wehrmacht on the Russian front. Look in this topic´s index for Maps ( try to see the pictures as well - klick on the camera ).

Hi Guys,

Aren't those maps from a West Point atlas?

They are indeed. And the real United States Military Atlas is online at http://www.dean.usma.edu/history/web03/ ... 0index.htm
where you can get much better images of those very maps.
