To what extent did Hitlers involvement in Stalingrad lead to German defeat?
Could one argue that his orders were the main reason for defeat?
Thanks!

Yes Hoofgard,it was hitlers decisions from start to finish that produced the disaster at Stalingrad. There are so many 'fuhrer' decisions during that campaign that were stuff ups,I really would not know where to start.Infact the entire premise for operation blue was rubbish, and the OKW was silently opposed to it from day one. They advocated a resumption of the advance on Moscow, which would have been the correct strategic move. How far do you want to go into this?
