Blueprints for the 800mm DORA?

Post by [SWE]Rocketcheese »

G'day!

I'm desperately looking for design plans/blueprints of these, so if anyone could point me in any direction, it would be great!

Also, I'm looking for all kinds of blueprints/design plans for all the auxillary equipment used in operating these guns, unit information, as well as ANY information what so ever pertaining to the Crimean firing site layout at Bakchisaray used during the siege of Sewastopol. Descriptions of the surrounding countryside at the time is also of interest.

Also, heh, it would be absolutely terrific if it would be possible for me to lay my dirty litle hands on design plans/blueprints of the soviet fortifications surrounding Sewastopol, particularly the two M.Gorki batteries and associated fort.

Thats a lot to ask for, but what the hell...:)

For more information, try the Railwaygun Web Museum at this link:

http://www.cix.co.uk/~nrobinson/railgun/

For direct access to specific information about German Railway Guns:

http://www.cix.co.uk/~nrobinson/railgun ... _guns.html

Or go directly to DORA:

Or try this page:

http://www.cix.co.uk/~nrobinson/railgun ... amodel.htm

There is an e-mailadress on it where you can order the - apparently very detailed - plans of the DORA-gun in scale 1/48.

G'day!

Well, I've leeched those sites dry a long time ago! I even sent a letter some time ago to that email addy you poined out, but it bounced! Ouch! :(

I reckon my best bet would be to go buy books from motorbuch verlag or something. The internet seems to be lacking any more detailed info on this issue.

Thanks for your kind assistance!

The laughs on me!

G'day!

Very funny! Well, it's on me this time! :)

Seriously though, I'm trying to construct a map for a modification (http://efcodmod.com/site/index.php) to a FPS game- Call of Duty Eastern Front. It requires the construction of the Dora as a 3D model and for that I need blueprints. The same issue lies with the fortifications that will be present on that map.

Patrick, I wouldnt say nay to some REAL leverage! :D
