Early versions of Pz Kw IV.........

Post by tigre »

Hello to all :D; a little query.....................

A Pz Kw IV Ausf. B or C?

The publication "Panzer II vs 7TP: Poland 1939" specifies the armored in the second photo as a Pz Kw Ausf. B of the 1. Le Div, however looking at the first photo showing a Pz Kw Ausf. B, I think it rather is a Pz Kw Ausf. C (2nd photo) What do you think? ......................

Hello to all :D; something more.....................

Early versions of the Pz Kw IV in action!. Pz Kw IV Ausf. C.

This variant had a specially reinforced stop under the gun barrel which reclined the radio antenna out of the way when the turret was rotated. The coaxial machine gun was fitted with an armored casing.
