Nitro Proof?

Post by PVH » Fri Aug 12, 2011 12:37 pm

Hi Guys,
Can anyone explain to me what exactly a "nitro proof" is?
I've researched some info regarding markings and proofs on my recently acquired CZ 27 and found that the mark containing a large letter N with the Rampant Lion is a "nitro proof". I'm not sure what that means.
Thanks again,

I think this means that the weapon is not damaged if you fire more modern nitro powdered projectiles.
