I'm sorry, but I do not see the reference to the self propelled sIG33 in the original list. What am I missing?

Right, but where does it say it's mounted on the Panzer II chassis? (I'm being pedantic, I know, sorry).

Hello David,

PzBfWg III Ausf E & H, the IV was made in 1944.

You seem to have covered all the rest within the paramaters that you laid down.

Yes, photographic evidence from the desert supports this, apart from the PzJg Ib that were with 605er PzJg Abteilung, and the Kl. PzBfWg that you've already put up.

I don't think that they were in the front lines though, and the few pictures of PzKw Ibs I've seen are only in the early phases, for eg just now looking it up the commander is wearing one of those unpopular Pith helmets and it was taken at El Aghelia.

Have you checked out the Encyclopedia of German tanks of WWII (Arms & Armour Press)? Usually in the last section of text, Combat Service it will say in which theaters an AFV served, although not all the time like with the PzKw Ib, but before your list that was pretty much how I decided if something was in or out for Desert modelling options, for eg it States that the SdKzf 6 "Dianas" were exclusive to the desert.

BTW obviously by now your list is also useful to me

Best, Lucas

Hi all,

This list is useful to me too. Very handy to have these data all in one place!

In the list you correctly mention the Pz IV Ausf. G. Maybe you could refine that since both the Ausf. G's with the L/43 gun (often called the F2) and the L/48 gun were used.

Cheers,

Paul

Didn't think the L/48 was used in 1942. (see list parameters).
But if it was, I certainly will. It's a good call. 8)
