Power of Military Police

Just wondering what sort of power the military police had........could they arrest any rank?? and were there different military police for the SS than for the regulars??

What weapons would they carry, and towards the end who did they fight for and how many were there all up?

any infomation would be good

Osprey put out a short book on the German Military Police, and there were all sorts of MP's out there. An interesting note is that after the war, the German MP's were kept activated to help keep order in Germany. MP's Lead The Way!
