RAD Ranks?

Post by Tom Houlihan »

Does anyone know if there was a direct correlation between RAD ranks, and military ranks? Or, did the rank structure mean nothing to anyone outside the RAD?

What I'm getting at, is a Leutnant zur See still rated a salute from a Heer Oberfeldwebel. The Oberfeldwebel would have to follow a direct order.

If an Oberarbeitsführer gave an Unteroffizier an order, would that Unteroffizier be required to obey it?

Can anyone match up corresponding ranks between the RAD and say, the Heer? Would a Truppführer be a Leutnant equivalent?

Thanks, Yancy!

This will hopefully make things a little clearer in my current work.
