Does anybody know exactly what the SA-Wehrmannschaft were.
I have read that they were modeled on the basis of the German Army.
Did the SA-Wehrmannschaft actulay take part in the Second World War.
Did they field any Panzer Divisions?

SA Wehrmannschaft
I know in Austrian provinces towards the war;s end, these units were drawn up from local SA cadre's,armed and militarised, and both fought in combat roles and trrained Volksturm units, but that is allI know.I do not know units,or if they were active throughout the Reich during this period

Hi Guys,
From memory, I seem to recall that that there was an armed and active SA field unit or formation fighting Yugoslav Partisans in the areas of Slovenia annexed to the Reich from about 1943. Whether this was an SA Wehrmannschaft outfit I do not know. I also seem to recall that it was the only SA field unit of its type, presumably because SA manpower was later absorbed into the Volksturm.
Cheers,
Sid.
