Hello!
As I understand it the rgt had two abt each with three kp during the Kharkov battles (Lehmann is somewhat, eh, sketchy about the equipment of the rgt during this timeframe...).
What was it equipped with? One abt with PzIIIs and the other with PzIVs (I know about 13./SSPzRgt 1 so don't bother with that)?
What about the stabskompanien, did they have Aufkl and PzFlaKzug as later on?
Kind rgds

My microfilm viewer is down with its costly bulb on order, can venture an eduated guess as "DR" and "T" got their armor at the same time. Both tank types mentioned, no Pathers till available for training until March/April, DR did not get its I.Abteilung equipped OPERATIONALLY till August. Stabskompanie should have been the same:
reconnaissance, messenger, signals, engineer, and repair platoons (some later grew to company size) and were attached to the Regiment Stabskompanie or an Abteilung. Same will supply component.

Hi,
during Kharkov-battle 1.SS-PzR was organized as follows:
-Stab
-I.Abt:
- Stab, StbKp
- 1., 2., 3.Kp
- le.Panz.Nachsch.Kol
-II.Abt:
- Stab, StbKp
- 5., 6., 7.Kp
- le.Panz.Nachsch.Kol
-(13.)sPzKp
-PzWerkKp
-PiKp(gep.)
The original OoB(early'43) which I have in my possession
gives no details about the actual oraganization of each
company. Since the Stab/PzR had no own StbKp i believe
that a PzAufklZug and a PzNaZug were attached to it.
No FlaZug is mentioned and I'm almost sure that the
Regiment was not authorized to have such unit during
Kharkov battle.

Thank you guys, you've been most helpful!
From another source I got the strength of the rgt as 12 PzII, 10 PzIII, 52 PzIVg, 9 PzVI and 9 BefPz.
Were the PzIIs used as aufkl?
The PzIIIs I presume were part of 13. kp (as that fits nicely with the early org of a Tigerkp with 9 Tiger and 10 PzIII)?
Kind rgds
