Hi!
Could these officers of WIKING be identified. All pictures taken in the Tscherkassy pocket in 1944.
First up is an Ostubaf of Westland.

Re: Wiking officers
The only one I recognize at the moment is SS-Pz.Abt. 5 at Kowel Alfred Grossrock. 6th Co commander. I've seen a couple others before that you have posted but I don't know who they are. Sorry! Any other Wiking panzer officers photos you'd like to share?
Thanks
Tim

Re: Wiking officers
#7 is identified in Doug Nash's Hell's Gate as being Hans-Georg Jessen, then serving with the Stug. of 4./SS-PR 5 (temporary company commander, I believe). Based on comparison photos, I think it probably is Jessen, but I'm not 100% certain (it might be the guy who commanded the 1./SS-Panzer Abt. 4 of the Polizei Division, which was assigned to the Walloon Brigade at this time). Maybe Doug can inform us whether the Wiking veterans positively identified Jessen.
As Petter indicated, #8 is Hando Ruus, and as Tim said, #9 is (Al)Fred Grossrock.
I believe #2 and #3, the guy in black talking to Gille, is O1 Westphal, but I'm not certain.
I'm still trying to identify the Obstubaf.
