SS Signatures in Totenkopf Soldbuch

Post by hucks216 »

I have acquired a soldbuch to a member of 11./SS-Infantry Rgt (mot.) 9, Thule & eventually 7./SS-Pz Rgt 3 and I was wondering if anyone can help me decipher the signatures that I have been unable to work out please.

Here are my thoughts on the identities...
1. Unknown

2. Unknown
3 - 5. I think these might be SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer SPANKA (DKiG)
6. Unknown
7. Unknown
(the unnumbered name on that page is SS-Obersturmfuhrer Mattern (RKT))

8. I think this might be Dusenschoen - can anyone confirm this (In Charles Trang's book Totenkopf he is mentioned as being command of the III Btl as a SS-Sturmbannfuhrer)? The FpNr on the stamp does match the unit.

Hi Hucks,
1. Alfred Mietzner
2. Roland Vogl
3-5. Otto Spanka
6. Paul Nafz
7. Gerhard Kinzer? (not sure)
8. Josef Lindthaler (Verwaltungsführer)

Always looking for Sept. 1939 entries/sigantures in SS-Soldbücher.

Best wishes,
Bogo

I have located another signature in the soldbuch which I hope someone can help me with.
The unit is either the Stabs or 7 Kompanie of II/SS-Pz Rgt 3 but the barely legible stamp has the first two numbers for a FpNr of 48 which fits with 7 Kompanie (FpNr 48912) for the date seen. There is also a chance that some letters may be covered by the tape.
