Last week I received several new DVDs from the US National Archives that contained a significant amount of new information from late 1944 through April 20, 1945. Among the information was the complete graduating class lists from the 16, 17, 18 and 19 Kriergsjunker Lehrgangs and the 13 Kriegs Reserve Führer Lehrgang. I have to credit Nico Heitman for helping me to find these records at NARA following his discovery of some of these documents at the Bundesarchiv in Berlin a year ago. I had been trying to find these records at NARA ever since. Last month Mike Constandy of Westmoreland Research was doing some research at NARA for the grandson of SS-Untersturmführer Gerhard Schlichting, who I had referred to him. That’s when Mike Constandy turned up this new record group where a document was found with a listing for Gerhard Schlichting and I was given the reference number at NARA which enabled me to immediately send in the order for that DVD and the one after that in the hopes of finding additional 1945 information. I must say that Roland Pfeiffer also turned up a list of Flak officers where Gerhard Schlichting was mentioned, but we could not make the NARA record group connection at that time. This is a good example of a positive outcome when experienced researchers work together.
I’ll begin by posting the complete 10-page list of graduates from the 18 Kriegsjunker Lehrgang at Bad Tölz. Previously I had seen only partial lists of the graduates and I believe that many of you will find some new names here that will also answer some of the questions that have been under discussion here in past years. Many of these graduates became members of the 38. SS-Panzergrenadier Division “Nibelungen”.

Is there any list for the last Kriegsjunker-Lehrgang in Prag, too?
All the best and a big thank you

John
many thanks for the kind words.
As you compare these lists with the well known promotion lists to Standartenjunker form Januari and march 1945 you will find that in the 28.3.45 document additional Standartenjunker are listed, which are not given in the 2 promotion lists.
best regards and thanks
Nico

Re: 18 Kriegs-Junker-Lehrgang Graduate List March 28, 1945
I have also noticed some names with slight spelling differences between this list and the earlier class lists, such as D'Oosterlinck and D'Osterlink. I have not yet found similar lists of Standarten Oberjunkers for the 20 and 21 KJL. I have only seen some partial lists of men assigned to those Lehrgangs. Has anyone seen a listing of Standarten Oberjunkers for the 20 and 21 KJL?

My thanks too, for acquiring and sharing these lists! One name in particular stood out for me, among the Estonian Junkers, that of Gennadi Gorschkow! I am always interested in learning about ethnic-Russian Estonians, and I would guess that he was one.

Thanks Marc. I see from the page below that BorisTouloubieff was sent for a training course at the Sturm Geschütz school, but I have him in the Pionier Btl. 28 in April 1945 in Führerliste . I'm not sure of the source, possibly your For Rex and Belgium book.

Interesting documents John, could you post the entire document here?
I found VINJE, Henry on the last page here, he himself states that he fought in Berlin at the end of the war, that can not be correct...

Isn't it possible that Henry VINJE could have finished the course and was sent to Berlin? Here's the next page.
