I like to read the bibliographies of the soldiers themselves, such as in Williamsons "Loyalty is My Honour."

for the rest I would have to say Otto Skorzeny, although I don't like the way Harry Turtledove portrayed him in his Worldwar series. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a Turtledove fan!

I like shortening the names, it makes them sound weird and overall un-recognisable.

Don't forget Ted Wish, Hue Meyer, and Theo Eicke.

Being anal I do wargames / displays in 1/32 scale (I'm also a bit nearsighted) - I have a large basement I'm converting into a playroom for my panzers. And yes Tom, painting those SS jackets just about drives me berserk!

Grossdeutschland was not an SS formation.

Well, it is very predictable what interests many members (especially young and new) have.... Kursk, Normandie, Tiger and Waffen-SS.
According to some members here WW2 was just Kursk, Normandie and Waffen-SS.

Interesting, most people on other forums think WW2 was just Major Winters, 505/E and their evil SS opponents
