I guess THE book to go for is the book by Otto Kumm "Vorwärts, Prinz Eugen".

I have to admit that I have not red it yet, but soon will.

The 7th SS-Gebirgs Division Prinz Eugen consisted of volunteers and conscripts from Rumania, Hungary and Yugoslavia. The Division Prinz Eugen fought in all the major antipartisan campaigns in the Balkans, including disarming Italian Army units in the fall of 1943. The Division reputation is blackened by allegations of war crimes, although it's difficult to find specific crimes. However, World War II in Yugoslavia was a war in which neither side gave nor expected quarter, so it's safe to assume the Division committed its share of atrocities.

You can find some (limited) info also in some Slovenian (partisan) books - in may 1945 Div. was also here.
