Tring to figure out what unit (specifically) my grandfather was assigned to when he (Dr. Med Otto Rabe) served as a German Army Doctor in Taganrog Ukraine?
Can you help - at all?

Otto: Your Grandfather was in the Heer not the Waffen SS. The Edelweiss might indicate he was with a Gebirgsjager unit. I am not sure which ones might have fought around Taganrog. I will keep looking. Best wishes.
