Uncommon German Aircraft

Post by Troy Tempest »

I have come across a few postcards in my collecting quest featuring aircraft that are rare or at least very uncommon. I'll start off with this one, the Fw 57 Zerstörer, only three were built. Has anyone else ever seen a photo of this aircraft?

Hello Troy here you have all the FW's.
Seems to me that it's more a FW 187 than a FW 57

Kindly regards and sorry for my poor english but it's my schoolenglish and far away

Thank you Prosper! So it's a Focke-Wulf Fw 187 Falke. Only nine built, so it's still pretty rare  I appreciate your help here, and your English is fine!

In all the time I've been collecting postcards, I've only seen two of these turn up. This is the Blohm & Voss BV 141, only 20 were built, and to find a card with a flying Bv 141 is very uncommon. The example shown here is WNr 0210001, radio code NC+QZ, first flown 9 January 1941 and was the 9th B&V 141 constructed.

Here is my other one. Text on rear reads Unsere Luftwaffe - Blohm & Voß BV 141 für Sonderzwecke mit BMW Doppelsternmotor BMW 801 (Our Air Force - Blohm & Voss BV 141 for special purposes with BMW radial engine BMW 801). This is the same aircraft that is in the previous card.
