Luftwaffe units and losses over Dunkirk 1040 ?

any GERMAN (!) books and information on the Luftwaffe units engaged over Dunkirk during the British evacuation between 27 May and the early hours of 4 June 1940 ? The RAF claimed 262 Luftwaffe aircraft destroyed over Dunkirk which is clearly preposterous. Churchill must have been smoking something other than a cigar
Any GERMAN records available on Luftwaffe losses over Dunkirk? Thanks.

Adolf Galland's new memoirs give some numbers. I haven't the copy in my habds right now, but maybe someon could help?

Cornwell, Peter D. The Battle of France - Then and Now. After the Battle - Battle of Britain International Limited (2008). 592p.
Hooton, E.R., Phoenix Triumphant: The Rise and Rise of the Luftwaffe (London, 1994).
Pallud, Jean Paul, Blitzkrieg in the West Then and Now (London, 1993).
All cover the air battles over the Dunkirk area. Additionally, the Cornwell book documents in detail the loss of every single aircraft on all sides. It's out of print, I believe, but you can probably find a few on the used market.

Unbelievable!! Some frikkin' idiot Texas bookseller on amazon.com wants $9,999.99 for "The Battle of France - Then and Now" by Peter D. Cornwell. And this greedy pig still wants $3.99 for shipping!!

The swine must have been high on crack or crystal meth when he entered that number! As an alternate, why not go to your public library and see if they can borrow a copy for you through interlibrary loan. You can then copy the pages that you want to keep.
